Over the last few months, Fertile Earth products have received quite a bit of publicity. In February we were featured in Better Homes & Gardens magazine which resulted in a full page picture of the Simple Garden Junior Herb Kits in mustard.
Here is the Picture:
The Simple Garden and other products have also been featured on countless blogs such as www.coolhunting.com, www.amomlessordinary, and even containergardening.about.com.
Our most recent endorsement came from none other than the widely watched and appreciated Today Show. In this news cast Lou Manfredini endorsed and covered Fertile Earth products in great detail. We at Fertile Earth are very proud and excited about the energy that our products have brought.

What Will You Grow?
The Simple Garden is one of the best and most versatile products out there. You can use it indoor, outdoors, and you can grow whatever you want. The Simple Garden Square Foot Planter comes with basil and tomatoes, but that doesn't mean you can't grow other things in it.
Many people like to start their container gardens indoors, and move them outside when the weather improves the plants can survive outside. The Simple Garden was designed and created with high-density gardening in mind. You don't even have to transplant your Simple Garden plants outdoors, you can leave it in the provided pot all year round!
Although vegetables and herbs are very popular and useful to grow in a container garden, some people like the decoration and colors that blooming flowers bring to the house. As an example, we have grown five amaryllis bulbs in our Simple Garden Square Foot Planter just for decoration.
Here it is.
The colors look great with the colors of the room!
If you're worried about the amount of light your plant may receive, look into LiteStik. It provides supplemental lights to plants indoors.
What is your favorite plant to grow? What will you grow in your Simple Garden?

Simple Garden in Better Homes
As I was perusing the pages of the February issue of Better Homes and Gardens, as I am apt to do, I came across the most interesting article on window gardening. I said to myself, this is a place that would be perfect for The Simple Garden Junior, which is, in my humble opinion, the best window herb garden on the market today. As I continued through the article, I came across a most familiar picture. On page 110 of the above mentioned issue, one finds an extraordinary photo of Fertile Earth’s Simple Garden Junior Herb Garden. It shows not only the single planter variety, which includes seeds for a basil plant, but also the 3-pack variety, which ships with seeds for cilantro, oregano and basil. Nestled comfortably in the window was both of these fine products, shown in mustard which just happens to be my favorite color offered. Of course, mustard is only one of the nine designer colors in which this outstanding product is offered. Any one of them would be a fine addition to any kitchen window, office or dorm room. The perfect gift for the novice gardener and the green thumb alike.

Stop Overwatering Your Plants!
Most people don't know exactly how much water to give a plant, they just know it needs water. They will continually water the plant day after day thinking that it is doing good, when it really is doing harm.
Too much water can lead to root rotting, death of your plant, and a big mess. Good results never come from overwatering your plants, but how do you know if you have given your plant too much water? Several products have been introduced to the market to try and help novice gardeners by telling them when to water or even water themselves. The problem with most of these devices is that they usually cost a lot and not always do they work that well.
How do you solve these problems?
The Fertile Earth WaterStik!
The Fertile Earth WaterStik is an amazing new product that has proven to prevent overwatering and promote a healthy and accurate reading of your plants water levels. WaterStik is the only one of its kind that will show the water levels with four different colored LED lights. Just press the button and WaterStik will tell you the exact water levels of your plant. Green means good, Yellow means water soon, Red means water now!, and Blue means you have overwatered your plant.
"Wet or dry? An instant reply!" It takes the "guess work" out of growing and watering your plants.
WaterStik is available in three different variations, the standard WaterStik, the WaterStik XL, (extra long) and the WaterStik Outdoor.
WaterStik was such an innovative product that it was crowned the Utah innovative product of the year in its category, and received honors at other events.
If you are having a hard time figuring out how much water to give your plants, try WaterStik.

Simple Gardening
Many people think that gardening is too time consuming or too hard, but we have designed and created our products around this concern. All of our products are designed and made to put the fun back into gardening and make people realize how easy gardening really is. Our products also look great. We have researched the most popular colors and incorporated them into our products to not only make gardening easy, but visually pleasing. Not many like to have a traditional planting pot when you can now have a container garden that looks great on your counter or window sill. There are nine different colors that each container is available in, so you can make your choice on which one you like the best.
